Hiring a Classic Car

Booking and Payment

  • By paying for your booking, you agree to our Terms & Conditions.

  • Full rental payment and a security pre-authorisation of at least £1500 are required before you receive the car.

  • We only accept credit/debit cards or bank transfers.

  • Gift vouchers must be paid in full at the time of purchase, are valid for 12 months, and are non-refundable.

Driver Requirements

To hire a vehicle, all drivers must:

  • Be aged between 25 and 79.

  • Hold a full UK or EU licence for at least 2 years.

  • Have no major driving convictions or recent licence suspensions.

  • Not have more than 6 points across no more than two offences.

You’ll need to show:

  • A valid driving licence.

  • Two forms of ID (one must be a utility bill or official letter dated within the last 3 months).

  • A contact number.

  • Non-UK residents: also bring your passport and an International Driving Permit if needed.

Additional Drivers

  • Up to three additional drivers allowed.

  • Each extra driver costs £40 and must meet the same licence and ID requirements.

Vehicle Availability

  • We aim to provide the exact car booked, but may substitute with a similar or upgraded model if necessary.

Fuel

  • Cars must be returned with the same fuel level they had at pick-up.

  • Only Super or Premium Unleaded must be used.

  • Using the wrong fuel will incur damage charges.

  • A £25 refuelling charge applies if we need to top it up.

  • No refund is given for extra fuel left in the tank.

Insurance and Usage Rules

You (or named drivers) must not:

  • Use the car for racing, towing, commercial hire, or illegal activities.

  • Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Take the vehicle outside the UK without written permission.

Car Collection

  • Standard rental times: 9am–6pm or 24 hours.

  • A 1-hour handover is included per car. Missed appointments will cancel your booking.

Returning a Classic Car

Return Times

  • 24-hour bookings: Return between 9am–11am.

  • Day hire: Return between 5pm–6pm.

  • Returns outside these times must be pre-approved.

  • Late returns are charged at £50 per hour.

Condition and Cleanliness

You must return the car:

  • In the same condition as you received it.

  • Clean inside and out – or pay a £75 cleaning fee.

  • With no new damage, or you’ll be charged from your pre-authorisation and beyond if needed.

Responsibility for Damage

You’re liable for all damage during your rental period, including:

  • Cosmetic or mechanical damage caused by neglect or misuse.

  • Lost keys (£150).

  • Using the wrong fuel.

  • Failure to report issues or faults.

Accidents or Breakdowns

If you’re involved in an incident:

  • Call us immediately – do not delay.

  • Do not admit responsibility on the scene.

  • Gather names, addresses, and witness info.

  • Report any accident within 24 hours, or you’ll lose your pre-authorisation.

  • Fill out our incident form when you return the car.

If the fault is with the car:

  • We aim to fix it or replace the car (classic or similar) within 3 hours.

  • No refunds if a replacement is offered within this time.

Out-of-Hours Returns

  • You remain responsible for the car until it’s inspected during our opening hours.

  • We’re not liable for damage or theft if left outside unattended.

Other Charges

You are responsible for:

  • Parking tickets, speeding fines, congestion and ULEZ charges.

  • Any court or admin fees related to your use of the car.
